Our Privacy Policy details the way in which we collect, store and use information regarding individuals and organisations. The policy will be regularly reviewed to ensure that we remain compliant with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
Definitions:
Recruitment Agency: Godwin Recruitment Ltd.
Candidate: A individual who is seeking employment opportunities, who would seek the support of a Recruitment Agency in the introduction to Companies who are hiring.
Company(ies): An organisation who contracts with a Recruitment Agency for the purpose of receiving selected Candidate details in order to consider them to employment.
Our Commitment to You:
Godwin Recruitment Ltd. is committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the General Data Protection Regulations. In consequence, we collect the minimum amount of personal data required for the purpose of carrying out the best service to you, the Candidate, in accordance with a Company’s requirement.
The purpose for processing data:
Godwin Recruitment Ltd. operates as a Recruitment Agency.
The Recruitment Agency must process personal data (including sensitive personal data) to enable the provision of recruitment services to Companies and Candidates. The Recruitment Agency acts as a Data Controller.
The Recruitment Agency will collect only the minimum and appropriate amount of personal data in order to allow for the identification of Candidates, to contact a Candidate regarding a relevant opportunity and to provide a Company with a Candidate’s CV Application.
Only with your prior permission is any of the data and information collected shared with a Company.
The legal basis under which data is processed:
Data is processed under legitimate interest, or through opting in to use the services of Godwin Recruitment Ltd. to enable the Recruitment Agency to provide the recruitment services you have requested and for the performance of services to Companies so that the Recruitment Agency may represent you for a specific vacancy.
What information we collect and how we collect it:
You may give your personal details to the Recruitment Agency directly, when you register with the Recruitment Agency, or when you make an enquiry via our website. Alternatively, we may collect your personal details from another source, such as a Job Board or via a social media networking site. Job Boards will hold their own data privacy policy that you should read.
Any additional information collected which is not contained within your CV will be collected during the candidate registration process, either In Person, by Video Call or Telephone and recorded on a candidate registration document. You may be requested to send additional information to support your application via email to an employee of Godwin Recruitment Ltd.
Who the data is collected by:
Laura Godwin, Director and employees of Godwin Recruitment Ltd.
Where we hold your information:
We maintain appropriate safeguards to ensure the security and privacy of your data.
All information will be securely stored on a GDPR compliant database. Recruitment Agency access to this database is only permitted by Director of the Recruitment Agency through an encrypted password. Passwords are changed frequently to protect the integrity of the information held within.
The database provider will have their own data privacy policy, should you wish to see this, please ask in writing to the Recruitment Agency and this will be provided.
The Recruitment Agency also securely stores and accesses information using Microsoft Office on a password protected PC.
Hard copy registration documents and notes made during the candidate registration process, are securely stored away and only accessed by employees of the Recruitment Agency.
Who we share information with:
Information is only shared once permission is given from the Candidate allowing the Recruitment Agency to share only appropriate information to a Company for the purpose as outlined. All Companies will hold their own data privacy policy. Should you wish to see this, in the event this is not available on their website, you are required to write to the Company’s Data Privacy Officer personally.
Under no circumstances is your data shared with any other third party.
How long information is stored for:
All information will be kept on file for a maximum of 2 years from the point of collection, unless you provide permission or there is good reason to keep your data for longer. Timescale is assessed as a reasonable period to allow for continued recruitment services and for reference of previous service or placement history. When Candidate information is deleted, it is securely deleted from all Godwin Recruitment Proprietary IT and hard copy systems.
The rights and choices available to Candidates:
Candidates have the right to be removed, the right to be forgotten and the right to correct their details at any time.
You have the following data protection rights:
• To be informed about the personal data the Recruitment Agency processes on you
• To have access to the personal data that the Recruitment Agency processes on you
• To amend your personal data
• To object to the processing of your personal data where based on legitimate interest
• Not to be subjected to automated decision making and profiling
• To withdraw consent at any time – Where you have consented to the Recruitment Agency processing your personal data you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time by contacting Laura Godwin, Director at Godwin Recruitment.
Notice for Companies:
We retain only relevant Company information to enable us to provide permanent and fixed term recruitment services. All information is securely stored on a GDPR compliant database. We maintain appropriate safeguards to ensure the security and privacy of Company data.

Under no circumstances will we share your data with a third party.

If you have any queries about this privacy notice, or if you wish to make a complaint, please contact Laura Godwin, Director at laura@godwinrecruitment.co.uk with the subject heading clearly stating ‘my personal data’ and we will take the necessary action to resolve your query or complaint.
